Civilian Entry Banned During Army Firing Exercises in Tamulpur
Tamulpur, 12 January 2026 :

At the Daranga Short Firing Range under Tamulpur district, located in the Menka Tea Garden area, the 271 Field Workshop Company, EME of the Indian Army will conduct small arms firing and range classification exercises from 16 January to 20 January, 2026. During this period, the Indian Army has completely prohibited the entry of civilians into the firing range and the surrounding areas. In the interest of public safety, residents are requested not to proceed towards the firing range and to avoid the area during the specified dates. Public cooperation is essential to prevent any untoward incident. The general public is requested to treat this notice with due importance.
